Course: Anatomy, Physiology, and Massage / Holistic Massage Level 3 UK
This is the foundation course for many complementary and sports manual therapies The course provides Students /Learners with a thorough understanding of the Anatomy and Physiology of the body so that they have a working knowledge of the structure and functions of the areas in which they are working. It introduces them to pathology and general medical terminology. The course includes Holistic Massage routines and incorporates the classical movements of massage for treating the whole body. The course is taught with a blended learning approach with a major emphasis on the practical elements.
The Award in Infection prevention for CAM / Sports Massage includes parameters re Covid-19 is a compulsory module in this course.
Synopsis of Syllabus:
1. Anatomy and Physiology: to cover major and minor systems of the body.
2. The Classical movements of massage and their physiological and psychological
effects on the body
3. History of massage and the importance of a holistic approach
4. Health, Safety, Red flag situations and Hygiene in the clinic room
5. Pathology of the systems of the body as per syllabus.
6 Professional Ethics, Professional conduct, Client care.
7. Clinic management - Clinic room Practice
8. Review Infra – Red treatments
9. Review G- 5 treatments
10. Case Studies as per syllabus
11. Over-View of other natural therapies and CAM therapies.

· Lymphatic drainage massage
· Indian Head massage
12 Students must also take the iTEC Award in infection prevention for CAM / Sports (includes Covid-19 Parameters) if not
previously studied

1 IISSM Continuous Assessment Practical and Theory
2 iTEC Practical external examination
3 iTEC Theory of Holistic Massage 1hr multiple choice paper
4 iTEC Anatomy & Physiology 1hr multiple choice paper
5 iTEC Professional Conduct /Business Awareness 1hr multiple choice paper.
6 Case studies 5 clients treated on 4 occasions as per syllabus.
7 iTEC Award in Infection prevention for CAM / Sports Massage
If Students have completed Units iUBT435 – Anatomy and Physiology and Unit iUBT434 Professional Conduct / Business awareness once they show photocopies of same the College shall apply for their APL These must be shown to the College prior to their commencement of the course. Terms and conditions may apply.
Students are recommended to complete a First-Aid as per PHECC courses

6 IISSM Dip in Clinic Room Management Health Safety and Hygiene. (All designated assignments and examinations must be
completed successfully to receive the award)
Course Fee:
Course: Holistic Massage. Euros €1450
Award infection and prevention and control mandatory unless APL applies.
Payment options
Option 1 Full payment with application form € 1450 Examination fees not included.
Option 2 Deposit of €650 with application form and €850 on first day of course. Examination fees not included.
Option 3 Deposit €350 with application form and 5 payments of each € 250. Examination fees not included.
Option 4 All payments to be arranged via Accounts Department before commencement of course.
Examination fee to be paid separately.

Courses are evening, weekend and part-time with a blended learning approach, some theory classes via zoom
