Overview
This extended course in Mental Health Awareness will develop an understanding of what is understood by mental health, mental ill-health, and mental wellbeing. We will explore the historical context of mental health care within the community and the impact of these changes. The learner will develop an understanding of the social and cultural aspects of mental health..
It aims at raising the awareness of a range of mental health conditions. It will review ways in which mental health conditions can be managed.
The learner will develop the knowledge and understanding of a range of mental health conditions, their causes, signs and symptoms and ways in which these conditions will be managed. This qualification will also aim to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions often linked to mental health.

6 Understanding obsessive compulsive disorders.

A blended learning approach will be adopted.
College courses are evening, weekend and part-time with a blended learning approach, theory classes via zoom
