This course in Nutrition for Physical Activity is to enable learners to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide nutritional advice for active leisure, recreation and physical activity. This course combines well with Sports Massage level 3, 4

1. Anatomy and Physiology of the Alimentary canal
2. Principals of nutrition
3. Discuss the main nutrients that contribute to a healthy diet
4. Functions of Macro nutrient and Micro nutrients
5. Review a balanced diet for Physical activity
6. Pathologies associated with the Alimentary tract
7. Glycaemic Index
8. Nutrition and physical activity
9. Principals of Nutritional Goal setting
Examination
1 iTEC Assignment and case studies x 3 clients for 4 weeks
2 IISSM Continuous assessment

Nutritional Physical activity
Courses are evening, weekend and part-time with a blended learning approach, some theory classes via zoom and or recorded. Notes for classes can be accessed via Media platform and or the College website.
